WHAT IN THE WORLD!!! MY BLOG IS STILL HEREEEEEEE!!!!

February 26, 2026

Today I found myself clearing out digital clutter — old files, screenshots, archived ideas — when I stumbled upon notes about monetizing my blog. Apparently, I had even taken a class on it at some point! Out of curiosity, I decided to see if Blogger still existed.

I never expected to find my content still here.

But lo and behold… it was.

It felt like discovering something I had lost without realizing how valuable it truly was. A treasure quietly waiting for me to return.

Now, more than ten years older, almost eight years divorced, and growing in my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in ways I never have before, I can honestly say I am becoming the best version of myself. Reconnecting with this platform feels intentional. Purposeful. Timely.

I can’t help but wonder who will read this — and whether it will make a difference.

But if you are reading this, please hear me:

YOU HAVE A PURPOSE.
YOU HAVE A LIFE WORTH LIVING.
YOU ARE MEANT TO WIN.
STOP BEING SO HARD ON YOURSELF — AND JUST GO FOR IT.

You have permission to be successful in whatever sense of the word success means to you.

As I write this love letter to you, I’m also sealing it in my own heart. I am standing on the edge of launching new content without knowing who will embrace it — and that’s okay. I have made a commitment to live my life in Christ Jesus both privately and publicly, however He leads.

How beautiful would it be if God breathes on this and turns it into a blessing — even if it’s just for one?

I am the co-creator of The Real Estate Quickie™, and our mission is simple:

“So you don’t get screwed… It’s all about improving your mind, your body, and your assets.”

We believe real estate isn’t just about property — it’s about positioning your whole life to win. It’s about wisdom. Strategy. Stewardship. Making sound decisions that protect what you build and multiply what you’ve been given.

Through The Real Estate Quickie™, my aim is to educate, empower, and equip you with insight that strengthens not just your portfolio — but your perspective.

I love you — for real. And there’s nothing you can do about it.

Until next time, remember: Jesus loves you too. So much that He died for you. Please receive the gift of salvation He already paid for. He knows you. He is simply waiting for you to be willing to know Him.

As Isaiah 53:5 says:

“But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.”

You don’t have to stay stuck. You don’t have to keep circling what’s dead and gone. There is a way forward.

Be blessed.

MAKE ROOM FOR GOD TO BLESS #ShoneShine

Wow!  I have not blogged in since June 2015!!! It seems I have closed one chapter of my life and another one has began to take shape! This new direction is God-inspired! After graduating from college (Dec 2015) followed by many moves, I felt got tired.  During the resting stage, I felt a switch occur.  That was a little frightening, bewildering yet fun and just what I needed.  It literally felt like how you can turn a light switch on and off, that's what happened internally to me or better yet for me. I didn't dissect it.  I just went with it; sometimes feeling as though I was in unfamiliar, yet uncharted territory. Still I moved forward...prayer, praise and purpose! I prayed, praised and then I moved.  I prayed, praised, and then I moved again.  I prayed, praised, then I felt led to clean out things I had been holding on to regarding the direction for my business.  Then I prayed, praised, and moved again...this time found myself Intercessory Prayer at my church wondering what in the world God had be there for...it was to pray prophetically for the advancement of a dear person's book! WHOA!  This experience was amazing! It opened the door for me to experience Life Center Ministries and go to another level in prayer and the prophetic.  {I didn't see this one coming.}  With more prayer, praise and work...once again became a Virginia Broker.  So, now I am a broker in all 3 of the D-M-V (DC, MD, and VA) and Georgia.  I prayed again, then agreed to become the broker of a commercial firm.  Prayed again, and now many more doors of opportunities are opening up. Prayed and rejoiced some more, then I had to blessing of my car starting, but not turning over.  The blessing is it occurred parked in my garage and not on the side of the road.  Come to find out, the computer system decided to go out --- WHAT?!--This never happened before.  Now I am faced with the reality that I must get another vehicle, but this time can't be like the others (pay cash, for a pre-owned).  Nope! LOL because I don't have the excess cash.  Still I rise!  There is more to be said...LESSON LEARNED:  I have to make room to be blessed.  Many times, I have asked God for opportunities that I was not in proper position to take full advantage of and to make His name great in doing them.  Now on the other side of clearing out clutter that wouldn't "look like" clutter to anyone (but for me, it was cluttering my mind and depressing my creativity), ended up with a brand new AC unit for one part of of my house (thanks Matt of Oxford HVAC!) it went out in June and the home warranty experience was one I will not regurgitate; closed a few deals, gone under contract for others, got my household and business accounting on point, and now many more doors are flying open! Oh, and pretty soon a new vehicle, but I am not anxious.  I've decided to rent a vehicle if I have to go too far so I don't overwork our 1997 Honda Accord (LOL! She's been great to us 318K+ miles later she still works)!  I have seen God's hand of provision supply all our needs and wants.  Take the time to trust Him.  Heck, I will pray for you or with you.  What you cannot do, is keep expecting more without making an adjustment. #ShoneShine

Screaming Hallelujah!!

That moment when you realize God was planning for this day many years ago & brought things together in such a perfect crescendo to equip you (in 2015) with the proof that you are not crazy and that He has you!

SCREAMING HALLELUJAH!!! **Praise Break**

I am so thankful for the 50,000 coaches and friends that only God could have put together like this!
His Word is real and still holds true today...into eternity!

Mind, Flesh & Will - Which Is In Control?

Have you ever felt your body resist you while your mind was willing? I did today! Then, from somewhere within, I felt like a deer in headlights in one part of my being and a "Let's get it!" Attitude on another part when I turned on a different part of my workout program that I had never done. It was 530am, I knew I was going to go all the way even in the presence of this resistence from within myself. I am just thankful that my will was greater than my flesh today. I really came to fully understand 1 Corinthians 9:27, it talks about beating my body and making it my slave. Our bodies are the vehicles that support us in carrying out our life's purpose. The flesh will do only what it's been trained to do. It has no mind of its own. In the changes inwardly and outwardly I have decided to make, I am re - training my body to serve me on a different level and instilling in it the endurance it needs to perform at optimal measures. It will surrender eventually. In the meantime, I will keep showing it that I mean business and not give in to its encouragement to stay where I've been. Just like a rubber band will go back into place unless it is stretched beyond its normal limits, so it is with our body, our minds, even our environments that we live, work and play. Challenge yourself. Push the limits. When you've gone as far as you think you can go, take 3 more steps, then add to it daily.

Use It Or Lose It!?

I thought of this while enjoying my daily regiment of fitness activities.  Our bodies were meant to be used as the vehicle, the house for our souls to csrry out our life's purpose! I love seeing senior citizen aged people and babies climbing the mountain, running the 5 miles around or whatever.  They have chosen to USE their muscles and will to remain strong.  I don't know why I thought about this today. When we don't use our muscles, the experience of muscle atrophy (the wasting or loss of muscle tissue) occurs. Use it or lose it!

Many of you may not know this, but I used to work for the Federal Government!  I spent 10 years there before going into private sector, then in business for myself. In the Federal Government, when so much leave was accrued that you had a surplus, you are required to "use it or lose it"!  I would internally shake my head when people who were fully capable to go take some time for themselves, chose not to. I thought why not donate it if you aren't going to use it for yourself.  YOU HAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE & I ENCOURAGE YOU TO "LIVE WELL"! You were meant to be mobile. Ok, so if you have an injury or something preventing you from doing so (I understand). However, the majority do not. Everyday you have air & opportunity. So what you don't have a gym membership. God gave us the best gym yet...get outdoors and see what I'm talking about. You can do it. Park further from the front door of your office or store. Climb the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Don't get me started because I can give you some suggestions! #EliminateExcuses #YouAreWorthIt #ShoneShine #UseItOrLoseIt

"Higher Ground"

I just finished seeing the movie, #FrankieandAlice with Halle Berry and Phylicia Rashad.  What a good movie!  #Halle is the baddest actress!  She played this role so well, that during the movie I had to remind myself that she was acting.  Wherever did she have to go to bring this out?  Stevie Wonder's song, #HigherGround contains these lyrics: see below.  In seeing this movie, I am reminded that people have various coping mechanisms to deal with the traumas that they have experienced.  While many are able to do so without drawing unwanted attention, before judging others perhaps it would be better to consider that they may have had something so traumatic occur with them that the way they act is the best way they have learned to live with the hurt, disappointment, etc. "Don't you let nobody bring you down" is one of the last choruses of the song.  We all have things we have something we have overcome, worked through and/or chosen to live with.  Till we reach our highest ground...Don't you let nobody bring you down.  Be encouraged Loves!

"Higher Ground"

People keep on learnin'
Soldiers keep on warrin'
World keep on turnin'
Cause it won't be too long

Powers keep on lyin'
While your people keep on dyin'
World keep on turnin'
Cause it won't be too long

I'm so darn glad he let me try it again
Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
Till I reach my highest ground

Teachers keep on teachin'
Preachers keep on preachin'
World keep on turnin'
Cause it won't be too long
Oh no

Lovers keep on lovin'
Believers keep on believin'
Sleepers just stop sleepin'
Cause it won't be too long
Oh no

I'm so glad that he let me try it again
Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
Till I reach my highest ground...Whew!

Till I reach my highest ground
No one's gonna bring me down
Oh no
Till I reach my highest ground
Don't let nobody bring you down (they'll sho 'nuff try)
God is gonna show you higher ground

Peace is Better than _______ (you fill in the blank)

One thing I have done over the years since I was a child is keep the refrigerator door open while I pour some juice or getting a piece of cheese out of the pack or get an egg out of the carton, or any number of things.  Then, it is like a race to hurry up to get the item back into the refrigerator.  Now, to me there is not a problem with this practice, because if it was I would have changed it by now (right?)!  However, it is a pet-peeve of my husband's.  He cannot stand for the door of the refrigerator to stay open while I ,or anyone else, for that fact retrieve an item(s).  He is like why not get the item, close the door, then reopen the refrigerator when you are ready to put the item back.  I can see his rationale.  However, as much as I tried to change, I just couldn't seem to do it.  BTW, we have been married for 24 years (25 as of next month).  So, upon moving into our new home I chose the refrigerator.  I picked a really nice one.  The bells, the whistles, and the latest in technology (I AM CRACKING UP WRITING THIS!)!  To OUR surprise, the dang thing even alerts you when the door has been opened too long!!! (Lol!)  It even alerts you and powers down if the door is left open too long and the temperature adjusts below where you have set the thermostat for the freezer or refrigeration.  We both laughed at this.  I didn't set out to buy a refrigerator that did all this, but isn't that like God!  He desires that we have life and have it more abundantly.  Now, would leaving the refrigerator door lead to divorce...probably not, but the peace that surpasses all understanding could not be equally shared between both of us.  God cares so much about us collectively and individually! He loves us so much that He in His infinite power would allow one appliance to restore peace.  I can't stand for the bells and things to ring so I am learning to close the door so I don't have to.  The refrigerator is holding me accountable!  What are you letting get in the way of the peace that God has provided for you that you have chosen to not take hold of? #PEACEisBetter

My Definition of Success

Many thanks to @DarrenHardy for the engine of "Insane Productivity". This definition was born out of my doing the work of Module 5. After I answered the prescribed series of questions, I concluded that my definition of success is vastly different from what I previously perceived it to be.  It is as follows:
"My Definition of Success is having and exercising the luxury of saying, "YES" to what positively fuels, energizes, ignites and gives me joy and "NO" to all else (people, things & experiences) which in turn positively impacts my emotional, spiritual, mentally, social (i.e., relational), and financial accounts (both tangibly & intangibly)."
I encourage you to define success for yourself. You don't get a "do-over" with your life...Once it's gone you will give an account for what you did with it.

Remembering Where I Came From

This is something I have not done in years! I am lying in my bed watching TV. I just saw an episode of "Good Times" and it brought back memories that seem like it wasn't so long ago. In this episode, J.J. went to the unemployment office trying to secure work so he could help his mom meet the rent and the bills. The social services worker was being so uppity that it caused J.J. to act out towards her taking her stamp out of her hand and letting her know that he hoped she not get out of her job and end up on the other side of the desk.

I recall being in one of the lowest places of my life and having to get the aide of "the system". This was one position that I vowed to never be in. I recall the feelings that J.J. experienced, though I didn't act out on them. I remember having to wait and being the kind of person I was & still am, I always have a book so I would read to distract myself from the horrid surroundings. However, this one day I will never forget having this "feeling" to look around. Then, this notion to write about what I saw. While I was busy trying to numb myself to the feelings I felt for having to be there and blind myself to the others that were there too, God was trying to show me something completely different that smashed my perception. See, before being there myself, many years prior I cast judgments on "those people" who spent time getting aid as though they were all just "milking the system". To my surprise, being on that side of reality, I awakened to the fact that most of them were not "milking the system". Moreover, the needs outweighed the aid the families were receiving. I also began to have conversations with so many ladies and gentlemen. To hear their stories and learn of their situation always made mine feel as though "what did I have to complain about". Being "green" in this area, it was other aided recipients that informed me about how to turn in docs and C.Y.A. (cover my anus) in this arena. I am thankful today for where God with His "super" added to my "natural" has brought me from those not so long ago moments. I also recognize that no one is immuned to requiring such aid and support, so be careful to not cast judgment on those that are. Sure, there are some that may use it to supplement their income and may even get away with "milking the system", but what I know for sure majority of them are not. #moretocome #rememberwhereyoucamefrom #soyoudontrepeatit

We Can..We Will

There are now grumblings about the no spending initiative (smh).  However in contrast to other forms of protest that involves violence because of realistically not just frustration with the handling of this case rather pinned up angry because of it happening repeatedly, I agree with it. Moreover, I also agree with becoming a leader in the community and other suggestions too. However those are not usually immediately actions/outcomes. In this age of instant gratification, I see this as peaceful, nonviolent and non offensive to the masses that can't land anyone in jail nor cause bodily harm to anyone. I ALSO SEE THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY OR CAUSE TO ASK, "DID YOU VOTE?" I am just curious how many are registered and exercised their right to vote literally because even in not going to the polls one still impacts the decision.  I further see this as an opportunity to recreate "Black Wallstreet"! WE HAVE THE POWER TO ERECT A LASTING CHANGE!

STEP BACK...EVALUATE...ADJUST

Step back...evaluate the life you are making for yourself...does it line up with the vision you have had for you?

As I engage a little more on social media after being away from it over this last month, rather than jumping on and off to post an inspirational nugget or 2, I began reading posts. In my evaluation of things, I came to this conclusion..."people are creating chaotic situations or allowing themselves to be a part of stuff that they can at any moment step back from and make another decision instantly." If I am not mindful of my own actions, I too could be that very one I am talking about. I don't want that.

Mindful behavior = deliberate decisions × intentional thoughts, rightly dividing (÷) the Word of God & gaining a true understanding of who you were meant to be! Syntax errors happen in programming as a result of...

"a character or string incorrectly placed in a command or instruction that causes a failure in execution"

The only way to prevent this is from occurring in our being is to get a healthy spiritual diet, being dialed in and having the courage to say, "No!", when it is warranted and "Yes" for the right reason (s).  If you are off track, just stop where you are, identify where you are, and then just make the adjustment. Thanks for reading and sharing!

Continue to be AMAZED!

There have been times in my life that others have made comments about one shouldn't be amazed when they have seen the hand of God move on their behalf (or comments that support that kind of mindset). I could NEVER agree. In my not being able to agree, I would take it up in prayer and feel it necessary for me to stay in that childlike mode of excitement and anticipation with "what Daddy would do for His daughter today" attitude.  Anyone who KNOWS me know that I get excited and that I have a full range of my emotions for which I am thankful.

God just keeps on AMAZING me! Today's devotion just took my amazement over the top because when God causes a book to line up with what is happening for real in your life and you know you don't know the author. And put in perspective, they don't know you...All they were doing was being obedient to the Call God has on their lives by writing and publishing. Then, you obeyed the CALL to buy no not that book, but THIS BOOK! Then you obey the Call to read God's Word daily, even if it is just through this devotion and pray! Then you keep meeting the day with the Word, Wisdom & Prayer that is right in sync with what is literally happening in real life right now! Then you get to that day and this devotion is so INTIMATELY close to what is in my heart it is as though GOD TAKES WHAT'S IN YOUR HEART, puts it on the pages then allows the prayer to go beyond anything you have prayed over the matter ever before...HOW CAN YOU NOT BE AMAZED?!?!! That's what God did for me! He keeps on doing great things for me! It's like He is smiling on me (or as my Pastor, Bishop Murphy III would say...He's leaning in my direction)! CONTINUE TO BE AMAZED! He's not through with you yet!

You Are Triumphant!

One of the hardest things for people to see is themselves triumphant. I call it "interference".  That's all it is.  What is "interference"? According to the dictionary, it is "a. The act or an instance of hindering, obstructing, or impeding. b. Something that hinders, obstructs, or impedes."  From my own personal experience, it was rooted in the self - defeating thoughts that I had grown accustomed to having as a result of something different not intercepting them when I was young. While I believe my caregivers did the best they could, it is up to me to seek a new way now that I am older and expect to have different result.  The old saying, "garbage in, garbage out" is true. So, I am mindful of what I take in. I choose to be triumphant because that is what God calls me. I have adopted His ways as mine. It is a daily decision that I have found to be beneficial. As for me, I am choosing to see myself victorious, abounding in love and grace, full of hope and compassion, and taking no prisoners. It takes the same energy and time to be negative as it does positive.  What will you choose...life or death? Either way, IT IS YOUR CHOICE.  YOU WILL HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME IN THE END.  Decide for yourself which way is better then take it by force.

Biting Off MORE Than You Can Chew

Have you ever wanted something so bad that when the opportunity presented itself you "bit off more than you could chew"?  I recently experienced this in a business decision with one of the leading vendors in my industry.  In a nutshell, I based my actions, FIRST on another person's perspective, THEN on yet another person's promise all the while tossing out the sharp reality of what "I" could really afford.  For those of you who are my present and past clients, family, friends and colleagues, you know that I encourage you to not do that and yet I ended up doing it myself.

In the business of real estate, there are always people pitching you one thing on another usually to meet their agendas more than yours.  However, there are some really great people and opportunities too.  The results of my outcome were favorable after I went back to the vendor and asked about a reduction.  I humbled myself, turned from my wicked ways and God healed my land (i.e., mindset, business dealing and integrity).  I was able to scale back (i.e., downsize)!  What do you need to scale back or downsize because you bit off more than you could chew?  Whether it is a house, a business deal, a car, or too many shoes...on the other side of the experience is PEACE & greater creativity. NEED HELP DECIDING?  Email, Inbox or Direct Message me.  We can work it out together! No situation too small, large or hard!  Let's work it out together.

Being Un-Comfortable (PART 2)

Oh my goodness! I had to come back today after reading Tyler Perry's post from 1/8/2014 (as a result of my friend sharing it with me)! The notion of "Being Uncomfortable" came to me yesterday while riding in the car.  As a follow-up to this message, I feel Mr. Perry's message echoed loudly this knowing I have within but not words to articulate.  His illustration resulting from his research about the eagle is both inspiring, enlightening, and encouraging.  Since I will do it no justice to tell you about it... Click Here...this Link to check it out!

After reading Mr. Perry's post, perhaps I too am becoming "so sensitive to when it's time to move that I will move without having to have the turmoil".  Hopefully, this is encouraging you or nudging you to allow yourself to be uncomfortable enough to go ahead and fly knowing that even if you begin to descend our Heavenly Father who has given His angels charge over you that they will swoop down to catch you before you could dash your foot against a stone!  Go ahead, eagle...FLY!!!

Being Uncomfortable

When was the last time you purposely made yourself "uncomfortable"?  I am sure you are thinking that is a rhetorical question, but it is not.

Before a tree becomes a tree,  it had to go through a grueling process from being planted in the dirt! As a result of germinating process, the seed breaks forth and the life giving agents previously en grafted in it's DNA comes forth though not visible to the naked eye.  The budding process causes the tree to take shape til after many days and nights, even years it became what we see today...A tree!

So it is with you & me,  many times people do not see the planting, the watering, the entire germinating process yet you are called forth for a purpose to glorify your Maker.  Until, one day the world notices YOU.  They didn't see where you came from...they only see the resulting faction of your life.

So again I ask you...When was the last time you purposely made yourself " uncomfortable "?  That is part of the bringing forth process. I will speak for myself...There are times when I just don't "feel like" doing the thing that is purposeful for the appointed time and I don't do it. However, later,  when at some time far off than the origin I wish I had done "that" work which would have made me uncomfortable momentarily,  yet yield the greatest return on the investment of time.  I have chosen to make myself uncomfortable on purpose knowing at the appointed time I will reap the expected end. I encourage you to do the same...get uncomfortable & watch growth take place! Thank you in advance for reading and sharing!

I can be reached on 202-345-1594 for book me for your event!
